This is one of those stories where the pertinent question is, “why did this make news?” As I read the store I found many points to agree with. And for the record I’ve always had difficulty with efforts trying to influence and or specify how others should live. Don’t like it when Christian Conservatives tell me the values I should have, nor when overly compassionate liberals replace personal responsibility with compassion and safety nets.
My real fear is the US government, Democrat or Republican, really wants to establish permanent presence in the region. The underlying premise presumes violence, or its threat, as the best method to protect the USAs interest when interacting with other nations. Flawed, flawed, flawed. But selfish people with no respect for others only see common sense in this premise. Oh my
